Space Coast Stories is a small, one-person business, and I treat your information the way I'd want mine treated. This page explains what I collect, how I use it, and the choices you have.

Space Coast Stories (“we,” “us,” or “I”) is a personal history and legacy storytelling business based in Brevard County, Florida, owned and operated by Claire Szewczyk. This policy covers thespacecoaststories.com and the ways I communicate with you, including by email and text message.
What I collect
I only collect what I need to talk with you and do the work:
- Contact details you give me, like your name, email address, and phone number, when you fill out a form, email me, call, text, or sign up in person at an event.
- Project information you share so I can create your book or story, such as photos, documents, recordings, and the memories you tell me.
- Basic website data, like the pages you visit, collected through standard analytics so I can understand what’s useful and improve the site.
I don’t ask for sensitive information I don’t need, and I don’t buy contact lists.
How I use it
I use your information to respond to your questions, schedule and carry out interview sessions, produce and deliver your project, send you updates about your work, process payments, and, if you’ve opted in, send occasional messages about workshops, events, and services.
How I share it (and how I don’t)
I do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
The only time I share it is with the small number of service providers I need to run the business, such as a payment processor, an email or scheduling tool, or a print vendor for your finished book. They only get what’s needed to do that specific job, and they aren’t allowed to use it for their own marketing. I may also share information if the law requires it.
Text messaging (SMS)
If you give consent, I may send you text messages related to your project and, where you’ve opted in, occasional promotional messages about Space Coast Stories.
I do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your SMS/text messaging consent with any third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or lead generation purposes. Your consent to receive texts from Space Coast Stories stays with Space Coast Stories.
A few things to know:
- Message frequency varies, and is generally a few messages per month at most.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
- You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. You’ll get one confirmation and then no further texts.

Cookies and analytics
The site uses standard cookies and analytics to see which pages are visited and keep the site working properly. You can turn off cookies in your browser settings, though a few things may not work as smoothly if you do.
How long I keep it
I keep your information as long as I need it to do your project and for a reasonable time after, in case you want revisions, reprints, or a follow-up project. If you’d like me to delete your information, just ask.
Your choices
You can ask me at any time to see what information I have about you, correct it, or delete it. You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email, and opt out of texts by replying STOP.
Children’s privacy
This site and these services are meant for adults. I don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Links to other sites
The site may link to other websites. I’m not responsible for their privacy practices, so it’s worth reading their policies too.
Changes to this policy
If I update this policy, I’ll change the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, I’ll do my best to let you know.
